tek2way: (Art (Whelan) - Cthulhu's Eye)
Today was hell at work, because we were missing a checker, and were stretched too thin. I got to leave early, though, because I didn't get a lunch, so it's KINDA not all bad. Still, on the way home, traffic was backed up to the Nine Hells on the highway, so I had to take the city streets for my route home. Naturally, my car got rather uncomfortably hot. I made it home before it reached critical mass, but only just. (Now that the weather's starting to turn cooler again, I need to get that maintenance done on it; the record highs in August were NOT the right time.)

Getting home, I find that the wet spots in the carpet that seem to be coming from the A/C unit (checked it the night before), were still there. I called the rental office, and told them about it, and was told that they'd get someone to come by. No music playing. My door open. Patio blinds open. Kitchen light on. Yet, NO ONE comes by.

Then, later, the washing machine quits agitating (well, it quits washing effectively -- it's agitating me quite well). I didn't notice this until after the office closed. I could call and leave a message, but I have a seriously strong feeling that the maintenance man around here is a lazy ass bum. Our light is still hanging from one bolt, from back in early August when our upstairs neighbor's kitchen sink sprung a leak, flooding our kitchen.

This is getting very frustrating, and is really disheartening, since I don't have the money to move to a new place. Matters aren't helped since we signed a new lease, and paid the pet fee for [livejournal.com profile] strieson's puppy, Gizzy. I like the property manager, but they need to get something serious done about this ASAP. I have work clothes for tomorrow, but I have to be back on Friday. Looks like I may be begging my mom for the use of her washing machine.

Oh, and the whole thing with my apartment wanting to know if someone's home? Bullshit. I agree with [livejournal.com profile] strieson that it shouldn't matter who's here or not. If I say the floor's flooding, then you should damn well come and fix it.

That aside, Heroes' season premiere rocked, and I'm eager to see what happens next to Hiro and the guy in the trailer (I know who it is, but I figured I should keep this spoiler free, just in case.) I also found a bunch of screenshots from almost my entire time spent in WoW. I was toying with the idea of doing a picture post tomorrow, showing my druid's progression from level 5 noob on 06/27/2005, to a level 70 noob running Karazhan on 08/19/2007. :)
