Today's game was great fun, even though I'd done no preparation whatsoever. It's nice to see that I can be really creative when I set my mind to it. Folks seemed to have fun, even if I got a little antagonistic and moody at the end. (Long hours with no sleep generally make me cranky. Heck, that is usually the recipe to make *anyone* cranky.)

Earlier in the day, I got to spend some time around Jennifer, who worked UScan. She brought back the astronomy books I'd lent her, but had no issue taking them back home again when I told her one of the books was hers if she wanted it. (It is a beginner book, and has nothing that I can get out of it now.) Tomorrow, we're supposed to have lunch again, since I'm working 9-6, and going to lunch when she gets off. I figure that I'll ask her out on a "real" date for later in the week. Putt Putt seems neat, as does bowling, but I thought that maybe going and seeing War of the Worlds (or another movie) would be a nice idea, too. (Of course, I'm new to this, so the idea of a movie doesn't sound like a bad idea to me, but it could be the worst idea in history. Any ideas?)

Now, I must go to sleep, before the sky begins to fall. *wink*

I had a very Monday-like morning today. I decided that I would wear some nice khaki pants to work today, since I was doing the whole "manager's assistant" thing today. I feel that I looked quite spiffy in my khaki pants. ;)

However, I couldn't find my umbrella, managed to splatter grease all over my work shirt (and one drop on my pants*), got mud on my shoes when I walked outside, got wet trying to get my mom's umbrella inside of my car, and cracked my rearview mirrior when I got angry and slapped the mirror (which is what my umbrella hung on, causing all of that water to drop RIGHT ON MY PANTS). I made it to work on time, though, which is good.

Jennifer showed up, and I was excited at the thought that we'd be going out to eat again today. Still just a one-hour lunch date thing, but I was going to ask her out on a proper date later this week, probably bowling, Putt Putt, or a movie. However, when the time came for us to go, she asked if I was working on Tuesday. When I told her that I was, she said that she had a splitting headache, and just wanted to go home, but that she wanted to try again on Tuesday. I spoke with Charles, and he believes (as did I, mostly, before talking to him) that if she'd been trying to get out of the lunch date, she'd not have suggested another time when she cancelled.

Later, I had to pick up Shamora, because she wouldn't be able to make it to work if I didn't. (She was calling in, but I offered to go get her, and management agreed.) When I picked her up, Shamora asked me if I'd like to go out sometime next week. To say that took me by surprise is an understatement. I found myself entertaining the thought of taking her out, too, since I'm not serious with either, but Charles again was the voice of reason, and said that since I work with both, it's best to pick one and stick with it.

I'm reasonably certain that I am going to wind up more interested in Jennifer, but both are tempting. I'm not out to play them both. I just want to get to know each before I choose. (Wishy-washy. Boo. I don't want to get one interested in me, only to dump her. That's not fair to the one I don't choose.)

After work, I went over to Charles, where we had dinner, and I talked about my recent life experiences and revelations. Some things are just never going to be the same for me, and they're not related to the two women I have my eye on.

Now, I'm going to get some sleep, and enjoy my rest tonight.

* - It wasn't my fault. I think. The fire was low, so it wouldn't cause the egg to pop, but when I tried to extricate the egg from the pan, it spazzed on me, even getting partway up my nose.
