Yesterday, I woke up really early, and posted that dream I had the night before. Then, I dressed and went to Charles' yard sale to help out. Wow. It wasn't a bad sale, and I got some neckties that I wanted (plus a filing cabinet and a mirror that goes on the back of a door), but it was HOT. Fortunately, I brought a case of water with me. For some reason, no one else had thought of needing water or things to drink. :)
Let me put it this way, to indicate how hot it was: The folks sent out for lunch also got two gallons of water and some soap from the grocery store, since there was no running water at this house anymore. When we used it to wash up, the folks who'd stayed there thought that the water had been refrigerated, it felt so cold. The two who got it said that not only had it not been refrigerated, but that they got that BEFORE they went to get the food.
Fortunately, we stayed cool, and finished everything out okay around 230pm. It looked like rain, so we went our separate ways. I came home, and spent the rest of the day fitting the filing cabinet in my room. I began a major reorganization project because of it, too. As of right now, I have all of my RPG stuff boxed up and in storage, aside from 9 D&D books, 4 World of Darkness books, and the Castles & Crusades player's handbook. I just don't need it out, taking up space. In fact, if it wasn't because I feel that the World of Darkness could be a great game if I finished reading the rules, I would probably have that put away, too.
Today, we pick our D&D game back up. I'm looking forward to it, yet I'm not that eager to do so. I never quite got around to figuring out what Brad's character did during everyone's hiatus, and I'm not happy with what I did with Alex's character. (I like the general sense, but I would have preferred to run it better than I did.) Well, if I have a mental block today, I'll just meet Jennifer after work, and go somewhere.
Before I go that route, though, I'll make sure that I'm unable to come up with anything for the game today. Well, I gotta run. Work from 5a-1p, unless I take a lunch sometime today.
