Today, I got to scrap every single spreadsheet I had built for those Zone reports. We were "evolving", as my Zone Manager put it. it figures, you know? Right as I get a work pattern figured out, they change things again. Dang it.
They wanted charts for some of the information. I had to think about it a bit, but I finally figured out a way to make a chart work. See, I've never really messed with charts before, so today was a learning experience, too. Three charts per store in the zone (20), plus three for the whole zone, and I needed an easy way for the chart to pull the information. I figured it out, but need to finish making the charts for the other stores. I only have the zone ones, and about six stores finished. It's not a lot of work to get it done, but it's still gonna take SOME time to get done. Oh well, that's what next Tuesday morning is for.
I came home, and talked to Scott for most of the evening, working on a little D&D project. The project? Making a base Ninja class that doesn't suck. I don't like the "Oni Hunter" aspect to the Ninja class in Complete Adventurer at all. So, we "fixed" it. I used quotes because someone will call it too powerful. Shame, too, since I think it's nicely balanced. Perhaps I'll post it here another time, if there is any interest in looking at it.
Now, I'm gonna hit the hay. First of all, I have my Werewolf: The Forsaken core book to read. Second, I need to get my rest, because Death Knell comes out Friday. (Hmm.. I wonder if I should try to make it across town on my lunch, so I can pick up my case? If I don't, then I'l have to wait until Saturday morning. Ick. I prepaid for those minis, I wanna see 'em ASAP.
Finally, notice the song that's in my "Current Music" field? My buddy, Brian, at work told me about this song, and it's the latest iTunes purchase for me. I rather like it. Quite a bit.
Good night, y'all.
