Nope.
I was unsure of the directions I got, and I thought that they were done on AIM, meaning I couldn't pull them back up. Well, I left that desperation post this morning, hoping that Scott would see it, and call. No call. Work ended, and I ran out to Comic Cellar to pick up my copy of Werewolf: The Forsaken.* I grabbed it, and headed toward the game.
I realized that I needed to eat, so I stopped at a McDonald's because it was on the right side of the road. I know their food is artificial, but I like their fries, and their nuggets aren't** too bad. I got my food, sans condiments and napkins (WTF?), and realized that my poor car needed some oil. I stopped, and grabbed a couple of quarts, and headed on.
For you old Memphis people, you will probably know where I'm talking about when I say Waring & Summer. It's by the Kroger on Summer Ave. Well, the only apartments I'm familiar with in the area are just off that intersection. Well, I pulled into the first one, a single building set of apartments, and never saw a vehicle belonging to Scott's cousin, who rents the apartment. I checked the Waring Park aprartments next door, and found nothing there, either. So I came home.
When I decided to head home, I began to munch on the chicken nuggets from McDonald's. Whoa. BIG EFFIN' MISTAKE THERE. They tasted like chicken on its way to becoming fish. I didn't notice with the first one (two bites goes quickly when you're hungry), but I only got one bite into the second before it was screaming at me. I had to fight down my gag reflex, and quit eating them. *sigh* Now, I have to find some dinner.
*phone rings, and a conversation ensues*
It turns out that the first place I checked WAS the right place, but I never saw his car. Oh well, it's moot now, since another player didn't make it, either. I realize now that I had had the conversation about directions on MSN, and checking it shows just what I remembered, so I was good there. *Sigh* Perhaps next week?
* - I have always liked Werewolf, but never got into the game before. I now own more WoD books than I ever did. (The new edition versus 2nd Edition.)
** - Make that WEREN'T too bad. Times have changed.
