Sadly, despite getting up at 7am, and getting right to work on it, my car is still not running. The worst case scenario appeared, and it seems that my starter is dead. After I bought the battery. (Thankfully, I needed that anyway [9.57v when it should be 12.70v = Need new battery].)
This still wouldn't have been an issue, except that the starter on my car is on the bottom of the engine, back by the firewall, between the alternator and transmission! Simply put, it's impossible to get out. I got the underside screws out okay, but when it came to taking out the ONE BLOODY BOLT on the top, I spent the next five hours, four wrenches, three ratchets, two assistants (Dad and Scott), and one fragile body trying in vain to remove it. The end result is as you might expect, despite having the proper tool for the job: the fucker stripped. Not badly, but enough that I'm nervous about trying to break this bolt loose with a wrench/socket.
That's what I get to work on when I start back on Monday. (I'm taking tomorrow off.) In good news, I had no trouble putting on the new wiper blades I bought. :) (I also got stuff to change the oil, replace the spark plugs, and top off my fluids. My car will be running damn good.....when I get it running again.)
As I mentioned, Scott showed up, thinking that we were going to Stephen's game. The game had been cancelled anyway, but it worked out, since I wouldn't have been able to go. Scott and I worked on my car, and got Taco Bell when we realized that the dealer had closed for the day. (No AutoZone in Memphis has a Starter Solenoid for a 95 Saturn SL2, so I thought to try the dealer. *sigh*)
Tomorrow, I get to drive my dad's truck to work, since he doesn't want to get up at 315am to take me. :) I'm going there and back. Then, I'll hang around here, unless Scott shows up, and Charles and Melissa are in the mood to hang out. Time will tell, eh?
P.S. Revenge of the Sith has the potential to be the best damn Star Wars movie EVER. You hear me saying this? Good! Because I'm gonna be right!
