Well, it's sorta random, anyway.
.) Work yesterday was harder than normal, and I mean the T&A/Zone Report paperwork. I couldn't get to my E-mail, the fax didn't work, and I was on track to being done an hour early. Oh well, it wasn't really a big deal, since I drove my dad's truck to work, and I finished on time. I left work, happy in the knowledge that I wouldn't have to look at that place again until Sunday. :) Yay for vacations.
.) Scott came over, and we talked a bit. I played a bit more of Avenue Q for him, and he responded with, "Are you sure that you're old enough to be listening to this?" I countered with "Are you young enough?" :)
.) We went to visit Charles and Melissa, since his in-laws had just left. (Worry not. His in-laws are delightful people, and they enjoy each others' company.) We wound up checking out the decorations they had gotten up in the house and the new lawn furniture out back. There are now enough chairs to go around.
.) We talked D&D, but wound up watching a movie on Lifetime: I Know My First Name is Steven. I was skeptical about it, and sat to watch it only so that my bad mood might burn itself out. (I got into a really negative mood as we went over there, and I got really touchy and pissy before sitting down to watch the movie. Fortunately, I never took it out on anyone.) This movie, though, was really good. I was caught by it, and didn't even want to go to the store to get food. I shushed Scott at one point, I was so into it. When it ended, I was in a much better mood.
.) We were going to play D&D, but by the time we were going to start (after talking about things outside for a bit after the movie), it was really too late to play. So, instead, we played some Settlers of Catan. That is one mega-cool board game, and Charles and Melissa liked it enough, that they are talking about buying a copy for themselves. Ironically, we played until around 1030pm, so we really could have played D&D. :-P
.) I appreciate Scott giving me rides to Charles' and such while my car's not working, but I get out of his car smelling like I smoke. I can't stand it, but I gotta suffer until my car's running again.
.) I fell asleep reading last night, and woke up around 430am. I had to make a concentrated effort to put the bookmark in the book, put it and my glasses on the bedside table, and turn out the light without falling back to sleep anyway.
.) I woke up, made breakfast, and began reading WotC's message boards, particularly Eberron, "Future Releases", and "The Planes".
.) I thought about how much I loved PlaneScape again.
.) And no, I'm not going to do anything to my car today. I will get started on it early tomorrow, but I wnat someone to be there to help/spot me. Scott's got plans for the day, and Aron doesn't get up until the "crack of noon" (I'd really rather get started around 8am, when it's still marginally cool out.)
