Well, today went well. I did things at my usual pace, thus keeping the time I spent on the Front End afterward to a minimum. :) Nothing really noteworthy happened, though.
After work,
makeshift_guru and I met
lordreaibn,
storm21, and
mfsfreak at the Paradisio, for the 400pm showing of The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring: Extended Edition. Let me tell you, this movie seemed long initially, but it was over in seemingly no time at all. The seats were plush, and comfortable through all of FotR's 3 hours, 46 minutes. I was able to minimize the pain in my neck, by moving it side to side occasionally.
The only problem? The fucktard who sat to my right, and commented through the whole damn film. And it wasn't small comments like "Oh yeah" or "Awesome" or "Wow", like you might expect. An example of his method was at the end of the movie, when Frodo was telling Sam that he was glad that Sam came along. The guy said, audibily, "Here's a Kodak moment." No, it wasn't funny. Couple this with the guy laughing in in appropriate places, fidgeting FAR more than necessary, *AND* removing his shoes, he's damn lucky I didn't punch his lights out. (And I REALLY wanted to.)
Still, all of us are planning to repeat this next Sunday for The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers: Extended Edition. It'll be neat. Then, two days later, we'll have....
Trilogy Tuesday
(Yeah, I'm excited.)
