tek2way: (Death - Umbrella)
I slept pretty well last night.

I had a dream that involved a price discrepancy, an angry customer, and everyone turning to look at us. My manager showed up to talk to him, and then I started to go around the register after the guy. I calmed myself down, though. That's when I saw an older man in a suit pushing his groceries to the door. The groceries weren't in bags, so I knew he hadn't paid for them. I tried to stop him, and he kept walking. I remember hanging off his elbow at one point. He was parked right outside, and when he went to open his car, I took the basket and headed back inside. He reached for them just as I woke up.

See why I say I hate my job? I can't even sleep without it!! :)

At any rate, I worked on my campaign last night, and I finally came to a decision. I had to choose between Midnight and Dragonlance as campaign setting. Both of them would have worked, but I wanted to include a lot of travelling in this campaign. Since I have the Time of the Dragon* boxed set, I have Taladas. With two continents, as well as all the undersea stuff, Dragonlance won. (Okay, it doesn't hurt that I've wanted to do a 3rd Edition Dragonlance game since, oh, 3rd Edition came out.)

I plan to do a Midnight campaign, and I might even use a variation of this campaign idea I have, since it would be really neat to do in Eredane. For now, though, I'm going with Dragonlance. It'll be fun.

Today, I'm going to pick my stuff up from Comic Cellar, get gas, and come home. I have some E-mail stuff to do for Stephen (finish up the adventures of Aric during the Tuesday afternoon that everyone else finished), a character to make for the game that I'm going to play in [livejournal.com profile] rpg_gaming_room, and I want to get back to work on my game. Yes, I'm fully committed to bringing this to a tabletop sometime in the next year. Of course, that is provided that Stephen will be anywhere CLOSE to finishing his campaign. :) Will Steve's game hit epic levels? Entirely possible.

Don't worry, Steve. When you're ready for a break, you'll let me know. Until then, I'm happy to play Aric.

* - This is my third-oldest RPG item. First was Dragonlance Adventures, second was the 1990 Basic D&D boxed set, and third was Time of the Dragon.
