Labor Day..

If you think I'm going to wish everyone a happy Labor Day, you're wrong. *I* have to work. All of you, sitting at home, or at barbecues, talking and having fun. Feh. I'm going to be doing what I always do on a work day. Oh, I get paid more, but my paycheck comes a day late this week, and I won't see the "extra" money until next week.

Ahem. Now that the rant is out of the way, I am working 6a-3p today. Hopefully it won't be too bad, but I know grocery retail, so I don't have a lot of hope. All I can hope is that I make it through the day relatively unscathed. Oh, and I'm going to swing by Comics N Collectibles on my way home. They're having a Labor Day Sale!! 20% off all non-comic stuff in the store!!! Woot!!! Gimme some RPG stuff!! Gimme some Sandman trade paperbacks!!! Gimme some dice!! WOOOOTT!!!

Ahem. You all have fun, now. I'm only going to have Poul Anderson's Ensign Flandry to keep me company today, assuming I get a lunch. *knocks on wood*

Perhaps I'll do another backstory for another one of the characters I mentioned Saturday when I get home.

Update!

Work went well. Not great, because we got majorly busy. I had to count down 5 pans before I could leave, but that's alright. I was making $16.59/hr while doing so.

I got to say hello to John "Bad Dog" McCormack, too. He shops at my store! ^_^

I swung by CnC, and got some Mage Knight. The Vengeful Ghost is cool.

I'm going to Brad's, to see what his mom brought him.

That is all.

I really enjoyed doing the backstory for Sven, so I am almost absolutely certain I will do it for other characters. I might even make it an ongoing story thing, too. (I had an idea for a followup to Sven's story, but I left it at work.)
