I made it through work unscathed. I was late, but not so late that my pay was docked. I had to run the end of day this morning, and I got things completely done by 8am. I was rather happy about that. I had to run Guest Care until noon, but I switched with Shauntay, so I ran U-Scan instead. (On U-Scan, at least, I can do something about the front end backing up. In Guest Care, I can do absolutely nothing about it.)
Things were slow until around 1030am. That's when it got BUSY. I alternately ran U-Scan or got stuck on a pan, ringing up regular orders. Yet, I wasn't upset or angry about anything again. It's almost like I've learned to not let it get to me. Even now, I don't feel exhausted, but just a little tired from having worked 8 hours.
I swung by Comic Cellar today to pick up my comics. I mentioned a Game of Thrones card game tournament that's supposed to be up there tomorrow, and Jason told me that it has been rescheduled, since the guy running it had unexpected out-of-town business come up. I mentioned that we had planned on not showing because of the tournament. He told me that a lot of people have noticed that we play Magic up there on Saturdays, so if we came up there anyway, we'd probably find some people to play with. Neat. More players = more fun.
I snagged Runaways #1. Good book. The premise is that these six kids learn that their parents are super-villians, and have to deal with the repurcussions of that knowledge. Despite that it's a Marvel comic, and the parents are super-villians, it is not a super-hero book. It's a really fresh book, to be honest. I can't wait for next month.
Well, I'm going to be going to Scott's later today, so that I can play some Magic. If I hear from
jartravian tonight, then I will probably head up to Comic Cellar sometime tomorrow. Otherwise, I'm going to hang around home. I've got to get my hair cut anyway, though.
