After my last rousing post, how can anyone contain themselves waiting for the next installment? *rolls eyes*
Saturday night, I tweaked my Necropotence deck (worked in my Nevinyrral's Disks), and my White Weenie deck (worked in Kjeldoran Outposts). I went to bed at 1130p which, because of the time change, was effectively 1230a. So, I went to work with no rest.
Work went rather uneventfully. Everyone more or less showed up on time. I was even only 4 minutes late. (We have a 7 minute grace period.) However, I was supremely unmotivated Sunday morning, and took forever to do anything. I mean, I didn't cut off, so I should have been done with everything by 730a at the latest. What time was I really done? I didn't get done until 800a, and, because of the previous night's taco dinner, I didn't get upstairs until 815a. For some reason, I didn't get all of my work done upstairs until 11a,I don't know. I think I'm just ready for my vacation. REALLY ready.
After work, I came home, and found out that the yardwork my mom wanted all of us (my two brothers and me) to do had already been done by my brothers Awesome. I guess she expected me at home at 1230p. I've tried telling her not to assume anything, but she continues to do so. Not my fault. I just know I got out of working.
Once I was settled, Aron and I began playing Diablo II over the network. It was a lot of fun. He's an Amazon, and I'm playing a Barbarian. The way it's used is simple. My big and tough barb hits the big enemies, since I can take the hits, and his amazon sprays the minions and little guys with arrows. Really effective. Anyway, Stephen shows up after we've been playing for about 45 minutes. We play for a little longer, and then get ready to go pick up Rick, and head to Scott's for the Sunday game.
Half an hour later, we finally actually leave to get Rick. We pick him up, and get to Scott's uneventfully. Once there, we broke out our Magic decks, and Rick and I duelled a couple of times while Stephen showed us Trevor. I have actually seen a Mox Pearl now. Neat. What wasn't neat, though, was that the rigid card holder it and Jihad were shoved in was warped. *shudder* I quickly gave him TWO more rigid card holders, as well as the thin plastic sleeves, to store those cards properly.
( Magic cards talk )
Anyway, Brad and Mike showed up, and we got started with the Silver Marches game. The difference, as I've posted, was that I was playing this time, too. Mike was running. I chucked the Ashe Haydon idea, since he was technically in the Temple of Elemental Evil, and I don't want to ruin that, if there's ANY chance of going back to that game. (Mike halfway mentioned it, but not as an addition to Silver Marches. One or the other. Not both.)
( Silver Marches events )
( Mini-rant about the game )
* - Giant Fan is a card from Unglued which lets you move counters from one card to another. The counters become the type the card uses. So, every round I would move 1 or 2 counters onto the Divine Intervention, and Stephen would be crippled. I'd have to convince myself to use Unglued, though. :)
