Well, first of all, it wasn't as tense as I thought, though I did get a little uncomfortable at one exchange between them. We finished the moving of stuff, and C and I grabbed some Totino's pizza and watched Prisoner of Azkaban. It was good. I dozed a couple of times, talked to C about the plans I have in mind for myself, and measured my new room so that I can figure out how to jam it* all in there. :)
In case I've not mentioned it (and as frequently as I update, I may not have. :) ),
strieson and I are going to move into C's place as roommates for him, since he needs someone to help pay bills. It's in Bartlett, and in a nice neighborhood, too (not high end, but it's a nice quiet place).
strieson's dog, Gizzy (Gizzie?) will have a backyard to run around in to her heart's content, and I'm developing a deep affection for one of the cats there, named Rajah (it's a female, and when
strieson and I were asked, we came up with Nala, the female lion from Lion King). Rajah is a sweetheart, though, and I realize I've missed having a cat around. :)
We should be able to begin moving stuff in Sunday evening, though I may wait to do any serious moving until after my birthday on Monday. Still, a move is a prime opportunity to do that weeding of my material possessions I was talking about. What I want, goes immediately, and what I don't, stays here until the last minute. C suggested that, since my hobbies wax and wane, I not be too quick to unload what I currently don't want, but I feel like this is the right course. That said, perhaps it wouldn't be a bad idea to box 'em up, and toss 'em into the attic for a month or two, to see how much I don't want 'em.
Anyway, I have work again in the morning, and payroll promises to be fun on a metal folding chair (the plush office chairs have disappeared... shouldn't be surprised). I'm not sure what I'm doing after that, but time will tell.
* - A bunch of furniture. I think that I'm going to wind up losing something, and storing some other stuff.
