I woke up today at 1030am to Angel, C's ex's dog, trying to get my attention. "That must mean that she's here, and we're probably close to leaving to go to the apartment. I'm gonna roll over, and make them wake me up."
So I did, for another twenty minutes. :)
When I did wake up, though, I found that they weren't about to leave, but rather were doing things around the house. C'est la vie, non? I'd thrown some clothes on, and pushed my hair under a hat, but we weren't to leave until nearly 3pm. When we got there, I got the kitchen dismantled quite easily, and we brought that stuff, along with the other random small furniture, back over. In an effort to control the mess, I'd suggested that we put away load #1 before we get load #2. This lead to load #1 being the only load of the day, but given that it started getting downright FRIGID when the sun began to set, I think that was for the best.
So, at this point, we have my four bookcases of books (odd how I can't motivate myself to pack 'em, eh?), my trunk full of Star Wars memorabilia, my reflector telescope (but not the accessories -- those are already here), and my TV and DVD player. Then, it's clean the place up right, tell Justin (who's taking my old desk) and
storm21 (who's taking
strieson's old bed) to get their stuff before Thursday, when we turn in our keys, do the final walk-through, and pray that we aren't raped on fees and such. (They have been real friendly and understanding so far, so cross your fingers!)
Now, I'm gonna settle down for the night, do some reading in Wizards Presents: Worlds and Monsters (it's a 4e preview book, dealing with monster and world creation), and then I'm going to get some hawt shuteye.
Good stuff.
Tomorrow, before we start all the work at the apartment, I'm going to go get my hair cut. I want to look my best for my new store on Monday, ya know?
