So, my last day of work at my old store is behind me. It's a melancholy feeling, let me tell you. All the same, I'm feeling less apprehensive and more excited about my new store.

After I got off work, I went by my new store at Poplar and Highland, to speak with the Customer Service Manager there. Patsy's pretty cool, but has a firm understanding of what she wants to happen there, and how to make it happen. I was truly impressed. She explained how things worked, and showed me where the time clock was, and introduced me to some of the employees (who were actually taking a break in the break room!). I also learned that I *am* going to be her backup there. She has a backup already, but as she put it, I'm going to be another one, and that it'll probably take the three of us to make the Front End run smoothly.

I'm in awe of what I'm going into, but I'm definitely excited. My schedule next week was a write-in, because she wasn't sure I'd actually be there, but that's okay. I work:
    Monday: 600a-300p
    Tuesday: 600a-300p
    Wednesday: 900a-600p
    Friday: 900a-600p
    Saturday: 600a-300p
Not a bad schedule, if I say so myself. Oh, I have no illusions about staying on days only, but I definitely will be doing payroll, so Sundays shouldn't be too bad. :)

Now, C is bugging me to watch another episode of Firefly (so much for sticking to one episode a day to spread it out). I'd deny him, but the episode coming up is "Jaynestown". :) Love that show!!
