0081: In Brief, because I'm lazy..

I saw a special screening of DooM last night. Good stuff, but it might have impressed me more if I'd known the plot to DooM 3. I enjoyed it thoroughly, but there were times I was bothered about the way things were handled. Over all, I really enjoyed it, and I plan to see it again. Just don't go with expectations.

I also ran into dragonpurr there, too. Smal world, ne? She, too, is into Firefly/Serenity. Not pulling from my usual group, I might be able to collate a group to run the Serenity RPG with. :-D

I have work today, and then a screening of "The Legend of Zorro". Ja ne!

EDIT: I *KNEW* there was a reason I liked Reaper. He was played by Karl Urban, aka Eomer from Lord of the Rings. He rules!! :)

0082: Serenity

Okay.. I was gonna see The Legend of Zorro today, but i decided that I didn't care enough about it, and everyone going with me to see it agreed. Instead, we saw Serenity. That brings my total up to four times since I first saw it. I *love* that movie. Oh, and andric? Each time I see it, I get a little more fangirly and weepy at THOSE places, and especially at the point where River says, "My turn."

The worst part for me tonight? One of the people who went hadn't seen it yet, and when -- after crashing -- Wash says, "I'm a leaf on the wind. Watch how I--", she was laughing, thinking he was being good ol' Wash. I glanced over, and her expression changed IMMEDIATELY. :(

BTW: andric, what do you think of the possibility of playing some Serenity RPG over at dragonpurr's house some night of the week? She knows one other person who would like to play, so if things work out, we'd have a group of three. It wouldn't be a very late game, since she has work early, too. *shrug* This is in its EARLIEST planning stages, so I'm just getting a feel for what ya think. :) I personally would love an excuse to use that book.
