Heh.. Counting the subject line of this post, that's three different people who have inspired me today. :)
I woke up this morning, and felt an overwhelming urge to balance my checkbook and set up a budget. I give credit for this in part to the girl I've been talking about, in part to
strieson, but most of it still sits with me, for I want to improve my lot in life, ya know, and this is the first step. (The three kind of combine to make one. Or we'll just count me. :))
Second, around noon, I decided I'd go take a look at my car, since that's my transportation, and I really need to get away from this computer more often. Sure, all-day World of Warcraft sessions are fun, but Lord knows I need to be more active. I credit
rawee1's post about her Saturday activities for motivating me to get up and get out. :)
Third, the title of this post is a line from a song by a band named after a city. The song name is kind of obvious, but
rockcandy76's post kind of gave me the idea, since we all know I like to try to be creative with my post titles. :)
I'm resting now, and the outside of the car looks WORLDS better than it did, and I didn't even use soap on it. (Just a sponge and water was wiping tons of BLACK off of my car. Remember those mop commercials, where they'd pull their brand across the dirty floor, and a clean streak would be there? Uh-huh, that's how bad I let my poor car get. Shame on me.) I'll take it out and wash it properly another day. Probably Monday.
When I go back out, I have to tackle a hanging headliner, and a filty console. Oh, and I'm going to need to vacuum, too.
Interesting side note: I realized today that my car is female. Don't ask me how or why I came to this conclusion, but it hit me suddenly. Now, to think of a name. :)
Oh well, back outside....
