Gah! Where did the weekend go?
After Thursday's depression-ridden post (friends only.. sorry lurkers), I went to work feeling almost the same way on Friday. The ironic thing is, I realized I was still that way, decided to change, and changed. My mood picked up, and I felt better over all. The rest of the day went nicely.
When I got home, I spent the evening playing World of Warcraft with Brad. We both levelled our character on the Thunderlord PVP server. It was a fun time, though I stayed up late enough that I got a headache that followed me until when I woke up around 10am. I crashed back out, and felt fine -- more or less -- when I woke up around 430pm. I stayed up for a while, then, making a solo D&D adventure for my only expected player today. I was particularly proud of it, since he got to be a hero, and save a little girl from the clutches of a vile villain.
Today, I realized -- finally! -- why I get so stressed out on Sundays. I get upset when the store's numbers don't look like they should (meaning the store fell short of its budget, not a balance issue). I will have to relax about it next week, and make sure I have some real food for breakfast as well. It might go well for me. I hope so. :)
The D&D game today was a blast. I tested out a new gimmick (prop) on the two players who showed up, and they loved it. However, since
strieson wasn't there, I've sworn them to secrecy, so he gets the same surprise they did. (They liked it, too.)
Now, I need to go to bed. I have work tomorrow at 6am, and Tuesday at 2pm, so it's almost like I have a day off, beginning Monday afternoon. Thanks again to everyone who commented in my last post. You all gave good advice, and let me see many sides of things, not just a "Sorry you feel bad..*hugs*" thing. You guys rule.
