So, my weekend.
I got off work on Friday at 330pm, despite being scheduled to get off at 3pm. I came home, where I promptly dozed for a while, because of how rough work was. I kinda wasted time all afternoon, but finally got my things together, because I was going to Charles' place, and would be sleeping over.
Scott got there shortly after I did, and the four of us (Scott, Charles, Charles' wife, and me) went to Hooters. Let me tell you: Hooters on Friday night is BUSY. We got a low table, near a main waitress pathway. I sat with my back to it. This turned out to be something of a good thing, as the waitresses had to squeeze by. I never groped anyone, but I'm not the sort of person who'll complain about having a random pretty woman get closer than my comfort zone normally allows. *wink* (Charles' wife, with a smile on her face, said, "You're such a guy." I am normally very polite and all. It's just FUN to relax from time to time, though.)
We had two pitchers of beer -- except for the DD, Scott -- and left. Everyone was basically wiped out, so we called it an early night. (Scott and I spent a little while playing with Google's satellite map thing.) It was kinda cool, so I opened the window up, and let a TEENY fan pull in a small amount of increasingly-colder air over me. Mmm... the cold plus the blanket equals a happily content Anthony. I woke up the next morning, to a room that was borderline freezing, and loved it. I showered, and we all had breakfast (except Scott, who'd had to go home the night before).
Saturday was mainly spent putting countertops in Charles's kitchen. We made a couple of part runs to Lowe's and Home Depot, but the day was basically fun. Kevin showed up, and Melissa began to get ready for her "girl's night out". So, we guys ran to my house so I could grab a work shirt to wear on Sunday (so I could stay the night again), and grabbed pizza and tequila on the way back. New York style pepperoni pizza and frozen margaritas rock. Add Jello shots into that, and tame it with an occasional glass of water, and you have a fun night. (Though the water tends to show how old I'm getting.:))
I only got about two hours of sleep, and work was not easy, if only because I kept falling asleep. I kept waking up when I felt myself start to fall over. When I finished Payroll, I found a way to waste time and stay upstairs. I felt guilty about doing that, but I was too tired to try to begin doing any real work. This was also the last week that I did the zone reports, and I think, now that the time has come, I'm actually a little more upset about it than I thought. C'est la vie, non?
I came home, and took a nap. Now, I'm tired again, and I'm going to enjoy this night's sleep. Stay good, everyone.
