Well, I made it through my work day, and I'm off tomorrow. I'm supposed to hang out with Kevin, but I suppose we'll see what happens, ya know? (Real life could get in the way, and he's always busy on the weekends.)
I went to Memphis Pizza Cafe with
sc0ttyb and
andric. It was a lot of fun. We talked about old times, ate good pizza, and I found that I kept paying attention to our waitress. *wink* I just wish I'd know we'd be there for three and a half hours, or I would have ordered a beer to go with my pizza. Oh well, perhaps another time.
I'm almost done with Lisa Tuttle's The Mysteries. This book is fantastic, and one of my favorite genres of book: modern fantasy. That is to say, it's set in the modern day, but it's about fantasy realm bleedthrough. I love those "crossover" tales, such as R.A. Salvatore's "Spearwielder" series, Charles de Lint's "Jack of Kinrowan", and Neil Gaiman's American Gods. Perhaps it's because of some subliminal hope that something similar could happen to me, but I just thoroughly enjoy that story type.
I'm going to bed when I finish that book. Only 30-40 pages left. Good night, folks.
