tek2way: (Comics - Satchel)
I was off today. I slept six hours, had breakfast and checked my e-mail, and then took an hour and a half nap. I saw one of my uncles for the first time in a long time today. My Uncle Michael was military when I was growing up, and I think I feared him more than I feared my own dad, when it came time for punishment. Crazy, huh? Now, he's considerably more laid back than he was, and I find that I like him. Odd, though, since I never felt that close to him before. Or maybe it isn't that odd after all?

I installed Wheel of Time and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction again. I'm just stupid for these games. Sure enough, I spent a chunk of the afternoon, playing WoT. And sure enough, I found myself thinking, "Oh, maybe Robert Jordan's not too bad after all. I should read the next book." That man's world is powerful crack. It's just a shame that he switched from telling a story to milking it. :(

As for Diablo II, I had a blast. My only problem stems from the fact that my last saves, where Thundarr is a level 43 Barbarian, are gone. *shrug* It gives me a chance to do things differently. I haven't converted any character to LoD yet, and I'm not sure when I will. I like classic Diablo II. Oh, I applied the 1.10 patch, so I'm getting rares and magic constantly, but no Act V.

Now, I'm going to sync my iPod, and go to bed. I'm not actually going to sleep, but I have no reason to sit in front of the computer, and every reason (well, about three reasons*) to get away from it for the night.

Later, folks.

P.S. For those Stream escapees, nothing new on the reunion front has happened. How about this?
Time: The last Friday in March, around 8pm.
Place: Jillian's, in Peabody Place

If you have a problem with either, or just want out of the whole reunion shebang, just leave a comment. We can't finalize this thing without discussion, right?:)

* - Namely, the March issue of Dragon magazine, Elizabeth Haydon's Requiem for the Sun, and the trade paperback of the Vertigo "The Witching Hour" comic series.
