tek2way: (Me - South Park)
...because I'm running out of time. I should have been in bed already. Work = okay. Paycheck = really nice. (I was overpaid by 15 hours. Nice this week, but I'll have to pay it back next week. Bummer.) I got "Shark Tale", "Spider-Man 2", and "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil". I cleaned up some ID3 tags, too. Still nothing quite like getting busted. I'm gonna get some sleep. Good night, all.

Work today, in a word, sucked. I was really late. Then, my relief was gonna be an hour late. Then she was later than that, and I never got a lunch. We stayed busy, mainly because of a lack of checkers on the front end. We kept having to call folks up to help. My relief finally came in, but I can't be mad at her. She had to get the braids taken out of her hair, talked to the CSM about it, was told she'd be off, and made an appointment to get it done. Then, she wound up having to work. *shrug* Can't be helped now, regardless.

I ran upstairs when she arrived, because the schedules had not yet been posted. This is at 2pm. Schedules are, per the union contract, due up at noon on Friday. I checked to see if some changes I'd been forced into making had been put into the computer. Guess what? That's right. Despite delaying my lunch by an hour yesterday, they still didn't put the changes in, so I had to do it all over. Then I realized that the other departments hadn't gotten their schedules put into the scheduling program. This meant that I had to get their schedules, and key them in, so that I could upload all of them to the timeclocks. This wound up taking until nearly 330pm, because I got called downstairs to check, and I had to track down the schedules. I couldn't leave it, because no one else would take care of it.

So, I managed to get done, and left. Arriving home, I found that my favorite online pool game had had its difficulty level turned up, or I was just sucking really, really bad. (I tend to think the former, because the game was reacting differently to some of the same shots I've taken before.) Anyway, my mood turned south, so I decided to pop in Spider-Man 2, which I picked up the other day.

Man.. let me tell you... that movie was better than the first. And I *loved* the first. Dr. Octopus was a great villain. I liked him much better than the one from the old cartoon (by old cartoon, folks, I mean the Spider-Man cartoon from the late 70s/early 80s). Great movie, and I'm anxiously anticipating the next installment. Let me say, though: While having Venom would be neat, I am all for a Harry-Osborn-as-Green-Goblin movie. Perhaps have him do something to make himself the Hobgoblin, or something. Batman 2 and Forever proved that having two villains don't work quite right. The Joker was awesome. The Kingpin was awesome. The Green Goblin and Doc Ock were awesome. So, while Venom would be cool, please stay with the story and stick with one villain.

Now, I'm going to go play with something I just learned about iTunes. I am going to create my "Sunday afternoon DM background music mix," and save it as an XML file for then. I could create a different XML library file for each setup I want on my iPod, and swap 'em around as I choose. Excellent. :)
