What I'm looking for in an RPG campaign
I want to be able to forget that I'm sitting around a table, playing pretend with a set of guidelines in the form of rulebooks.
I want to feel that people are genuinely interested in what I'm doing.
I want to have my players consider that perhaps, just perhaps, fighting isn't the way to handle the situation.
I want to get into a session where stealth really is the order of the day, not just a joke involving a long-ago paladin.
I want to see my players look at a situation from a different angle than I expected.
I want to see my players acting good and good-like, rather than borderline "I'm neutral because the silly DM won't let me be evil."
I want to be able to experience the adventures through my players.
I want to feel like the center of attention that I should be as DM.
I want to be able to play sci-fi, swashbuckling, oriental, horror, or modern adventures, or try other systems.
Not too much to ask, I think. Hell, I'd settle for four or so.
