Despite what I had decided, I stayed on the computer all evening, talking to [livejournal.com profile] andric. We talked about Harry Potter. I do love those stories. After, I went to bed, and began reading. That didn't last long, as I fell asleep with the book open and the light on. Sometime during the night, I turned it off, and slept properly.

Mind over matter and all that business, eh? I woke up four minutes before my alarm went off, so I got up anyway. I find it interesting, because I *HATE* hearing my alarm. I'm getting enough sleep, I'm getting up early enough, so I am unconciously rewarding myself by waking up just early enough to eliminate that damn alarm clock. Sweet.

And no, I'm not talking about anyone who's reading this. :) (You know who you are.)

I got work done pretty effiiciently today, and then managed to "seem" productive until I had to go to a WIC meeting at another store with my CSM and Manager. The day really was gone before I knew it. I can't tell you how glad I was. :)

After work, I met Scott, and we went and saw Troy. Let me say this about the movie: I'm going to see it again. And again. At least. :) I had a couple of minor gripes about it (really minor), but they wouldn't even really be noticable if you haven't read The Iliad, by Homer. Brad Pitt as Achilles was awesome, Eric Bana as Hector was inspired, and Sean Bean as Odysseus caused me to go "Look! It's Boromir!" Orlando Bloom's Paris wasn't bad, but I guess I was expecting more of him after Pirates of the Caribbean.

All in all, a great film. I don't care what the critics say. It's worth seeing, at least once. I, however, am going to see it more. :)

Also, can anyone tell me what The Day After Tomorrow is going to be about? The movie posters looked really interesting. I could look it up myself, but I'm lazy tonight.

Finally, in D&D news, two things are happening. First, I'm going to convert the game from the standard casting method to the variant spell point system as presented in Unearthed Arcana. Second, I'm not going to get there until 5-6pm at the earliest this week. I've been invited to a sneak preview screening of Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban. :-D

G'night, peeps..

EDIT: For the record, I have NO IDEA what the critics are saying. :)
