We actually gamed last night. It was a lot of fun, as usual. The party picked up right where it left off, even though it's been a month since we played last. They learned that you shouldn't fight everything that you run into, as I tossed some treants (as a non-combat encounter) and a gray render (courtesy of the Silver Marches' random encounters - as a "don't fight it, let it go away" encounter). The CRs of these beasties are 8. There is no way that the group would have survived. Fortunately, only Charles was in danger of attacking the render, until I mentioned that not all encounters have to be fights. Then, he used Wild Empathy to indicate his nonthreatening nature, and the thing went on its way.
We didn't finish until well after midnight, but it was a lot of fun. Hopefully, we can get the game started earlier, so that we have more time to game.
