No, I didn't just win the lottery, though I would like to. (I'd have to play, though.)
What happened, you ask? Simple. I got my Unreal Tournament 2004 fix. After work, I sped over to Best Buy to grab a copy. They didn't have it. As I was leaving, though, who should I run into but
jartravian and his pal, Mike? He immediately knew what I was looking for, and when I informed him that Best Buy didn't have it, he directed me to the EBGames up the street. I thanked him, and went up there.
It was in a small complex in front of the Wal-Mart out on Winchester. Let me say, though, that I took it as a matter of faith that he told me true. I got there, and saw no such thing. I kept driving around, though, and it finally came into view. I went inside, and then I couldn't find the game. I got panicky, because I recognized the artwork on the box of the guy who'd just walked past me back to the checkout. I did another sweep, and lo, I found it.
I bought it, and literally sped home. I'm not playing now, only because I wanted to defrag my hard drive before I get too involved with playing. Hell, this thing is going to take a while to install. It's *six* CDs, counting the play disc.
Well, it just finished defragging, and I have some UT to play. More on my day later, since I'm off tomorrow. :)
Oh yeah: Thanks,
jartravian, I really appreciate the heads up on this one. Going to Comic Cellar to get my stuff today would have been a poor substitute for getting this fine piece of software. :)
