I'm not really qualified to ascertain the reason why i'm not posting as much anymore, but here goes anyway...
I think that, because I refrained from posting during my vacation, I conditioned myself to not post. That's right. I unintentionally weaned myself off of LiveJournal. Scary, huh? Who would have thought? Well, I'm posting now, and it's at least my third or fourth post for the week, so maybe I'm getting better. (John Cleese: "You're not fooling anyone..") Oh well, I'll try anyway.. How about I regal everyone with what I did on my vacation? Okay. :)
...
There. Exciting, wasn't it? :) Seriously, I spent the week reading, watching DVDs, dealing with recalcitrant dogs going potty, and napping whenever - and wherever - I felt the urge. I watched Pirates of the Caribbean, Sleepy Hollow, Brotherhood of the Wolf [in French only!], Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon [in Mandarin only!], Johnny English, the live-action City Hunter starring Jackie Chan, The Count of Monte Cristo, and more that I cannot remember. Fun stuff all around.
( Vacation stuff )
Sunday brought my return to work. It wasn't too bad, but we got a new co-manager that day, so I had to mind my Ps and Qs. I got out of there, and had a great game of Shadowrun at Brad's. I also talked to the people in attendance (Rodney, Brad, Aron, and Scott) about my new favorite campaign idea: a return to Silver Marches, complete with the "Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil" mega-adventure nestled into it.
( More about my Sunday RPG idea )
This week at work has been less than thrilling. Joyce took an unexpected vacation, because she is on vacation, but was on the schedule, too. Thus, I had to take up her slack, but still do what I was scheduled to do, too. So far, I have failed to get the schedule done, and I got chewed out about the current schedule being bad. *sigh* Oh well, our Produce department caught fire on Wednesday, so that was a nice break from the norm.
Tomorrow is my last day this week, and it couldn't come soon enough. I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend, with no plans. (Scott's gonna be in Nawlins; Brad's gonna have his folks in town.) So no, no game this weekend. Instead, I have free time. Perhaps I'll work on some new icons. I'm nearing my 1000th post, and I feel a new set of icons is required for such an event. (More than that, but I'm not telling yet.)
For now, I'm going to bed, read some of A Caress of Twilight, and sleep like the dead.
* - Two days which, I might add, I didn't actually know the time of day or day of the week. *content sigh*
** - Actually, Pirates, City Hunter, and Johnny English all resulted from this windfall.
*** - Yes, a Xanth novel.
