I took yesterday off from LiveJournal. I had decided that I was going to give my Money 2002 file a thorough going-over, and clean out the chaff, and make sure all of my accounts were balancing, not just my checking and savings. I streamlined it, but it still tells me that I cannot save $200 by the end of the year, even though I can do that in two months without thinking about it. (Savings account + direct deposit = easy savings plan) Oh well..
Yesterday had one notable thing occur. I was running U-Scan for Glen while he was on lunch. I don't remember the specific reason, but I got the "Can Can" in my head. Think big dresses, petticoats, and the legs kicking up alternately. Then, in a sudden flash of lunacy, I had a mental picture of what it would look like if *I* began doing the Can Can in front of our registers. This image had the effect of making me laugh hysterically, with no one around to have conveyed a joke or anything else. I'm sure I freaked a few people out.
At any rate, I found that I was laughing every time I thought about that. So, when I went into Accounting to do my end of shift count, I told Joyce about it. She began cracking up, too. She only added fuel to the fire when she quipped about seeing more than me, such as the manager and co-manager, dancing in the line, and dressed in the dresses with frilly petticoats!! I thought that was a riot, and it kept picking me up all afternoon.
I swung by Kevin's Attic to see if they had gotten Grimm in for me yet. No luck, though I realized that I like the clerk, Cynthia. She's knowledgeable about games, and possesses an intelligence that's rather refreshing to see. *shrug* What can I say? I'm a sucker for a brain. :) But I digress.. (I was supposed to talk about TODAY.)
Anyway, today wsan't very special, really, though I busted my butt all day long. I never sat still. Oh, and the manager made a comment about the condition of accounting again. So, in retaliation, I asked if I couldn't come in on my day off (Monday), and put some time in cleaning the place up like it should be. He agreed. Sweet. Let's hope I didn't get myself in for more than I meant. :)
I left work, picked up Grimm (talked to Cynthia again), and swung by After Hours to pay for my tuxedo. In case I haven't mentioned it, I'm in Charles' wedding as a groomsman. I came home, and settled in. Until, that is, Aron and I went to Pizza Hut to pick up some pizzas.
Now, I'm just going to piddle around until it's bedtime. I'm working 6-3 tomorrow, and then Scott and I are going to see Brain's band play at Stage Stop tomorrow night.
