"What could have gone better?" you ask.
Simple. While I woke up a couple of minutes early, got ready, made lunch, and got to work on time, my day was not the best. I walked in the door to see the "smiling" face of one of Kroger's auditors. *rolls eyes* Yeah, one of those unholy hellspawn were vomited from the bowels of the corporate office just to make my life miserable today.I managed it, but I wasn't done until nearly 9am. Since I was Guest Care, too, this didn't go over very well. The only bright spot seems to be that our audit didn't go that badly. There was barely half a page of items, a far cry from a year and a half ago, when the front and back, in small handwriting, were used.
I began to lose my cool while working Guest Care today. I am so ready for my vacation in a few weeks. I already know what I'm going to do. It'll be great. You wait and see. :) I made it, barely, and went to lunch. That went by far too quickly, and I was back in the grind. Fortunately, it wasn't anything out of the ordinary, despite having less help. Oh well, time will tell, eh?
Coming home, I meant to stop and put a deposit down on the tuxedo I'm going to need for Charles's wedding at the end of the month, but I kept running into heavy traffic-jam level traffic, as well as idiots driving unsupervised, so I came home before I lost my cool, and killed someone.
I'm done with my computer for the day. Instead of wasting time here, I'm going to read more of my DMG, and hope that the knowledge of what I want to do with a game will penetrate me via osmosis or something. I am sure I could run a decent game, but I want to "kick it up a notch", as Emeril says. I want people to really enjoy my game. Sadly, I find myself wishing for the Eberron setting already. That won't work, though, so I might just utilize Grimm. I have two-and-a-half people I could get to play, so it could be fun. The half is from Charles's fiancee, who's not sure she will play, since she never has before, but is willing to learn what it's like.
Oh well, only time will tell. For now, it's time to find dinner, and then it'll be time to read some of the Dungeon Master's Guide.
