I could do a real post, but I don't feel like it yet. Instead, I'm going to do that silly Meme, where you randomize your playlist, and list the first ten items. I'm going to modifiy it, though, and list twenty items.* So, without further ado:
  1. The Two Towers (OST) - The Passage of the Marshes

  2. Queensryche - Revolution Calling

  3. Blackmore's Night - Hanging Tree

  4. Kamelot - A Sailorman's Hymn

  5. Vanessa-Mae - The Blessed Spirits

  6. Kamelot - Fire Within

  7. Pantera - Domination

  8. Believer - Dimentia

  9. Highlord - Land of Eternal Ice

  10. Raiders of the Lost Ark (OST) - Reunion and the Dig Begins

  11. Nightwish - Stargazer

  12. Mozart - Concerto in G Major for Flute and Orchestra, K313 - Allegro maestoso

  13. Battlelore - Chazad-dum Pt.2

  14. Sanctuary - Die for My Sins

  15. The Two Towers (OST) - Forth Eorlingas

I was late to work. No, I mean late. I clocked in at 604am. I haven't been that late in at least two or three weeks, and that was a Sunday morning, when no one was waiting on me. Well, I knew I had only four hours to suffer, and that I was gone after that.

You know what? I was more efficient this morning than I have been in a while. I was almost completely done by 800am, and that's counting putting out UScan.I pulled the vending machine money, and let out breaks. When I left, there was only one break that wasn't gotten, but I couldn't get it out, because I had to leave at 10am.

Ironically, for someone who was going to have to spend around 15-20 minutes waiting on his oil change, not to mention the near-hour to go through inspection, I forgot to bring something to read. Oh, I was going to get a magazine, since it's light reading, but I couldn't find anything I'd want to read. So, I wound up buying another book. Yes, I have three books started already, another one I need to get started, and I bought and began another book.

This one is called Thief of Lives, by Barb & J. C. Hendee. It's a sequel to Dhampir, also by the both of them. So far, it's got two really engaging main characters, and a plot involving vampires. Yeah, more vampires. I think I ought to go with my gut on this, and involve vampires in a significant way in either my next campaign, the campaign setting I'm working on, or both. *wink*

So, the oil change went well, though I learned I needed to get my radiator flushed. Changing the transmission fluid wouldn't be a bad idea either. I got in line at the inspection station on White Station. I didn't have to sit in the street, which was a fear, but I was about ten cars back from the front of the line. Fortunately, it went by pretty quickly, and I passed the emissions tests.

Heading home, I grabbed my renewal notice, and went to the city court clerk's office. They wouldn't take my Visa check card, because "we don't take check cards. We can take Mastercard, but not Visa." Yet, on the door, it said both. I fail to see the significance in difference between a traditional credit card, and a debit card used as a credit card. *shrug* This is, of course, the same office that gave Rick a hard time in early 2002 about getting tags for his van. We later learned that people have a lot of complaints about that office, regarding its employees. *sigh*

I went and got cash, so they couldn't do it to me again, and got my tags. I put the sticker on while I was still in the parking lot. Delightful. :) That made me happy. Now, I have eleven months to flush my radiator, change my brakes, change transmission fluid, replace the power window motors on the driver side windows, and my car will be in tip-top shape. Best part of it is that it will belong to me this time next year. :) I will OWN my car. One that I went and picked out and signed for on my own. *contented sigh*

Now, I've wasted the rest of the day, but oh well. I'm just enjoying the fact that I was off for half the day today. Tomorrow is another 6a-3p, and I think I'm going to swing by Kevin's Attic, the game store, on my way home, to see if they have either Grimm, Kingdoms of Kalamar's pirate sourcebook, or the Dragonlance DM screen available. Better yet would be Unearthed Arcana or the Conan RPG, but I'm not holding my breath. (I also need to keep myself from wasting a bunch of money on RPG stuff I won't get around to using.)
