Okay, I checked this specifically for broken HTML, and found none.
It didn't do anything weird to my friends page, but I'm going to
check some of y'all's friends pages, and see how it worked out.
EDIT: To heck with it. I'm cutting it. I really like Tasselhoff, too, but this drama about broken HTML has me worried. I'll forget about this later. :)

Let's see, I think I've covered Saturday already, given how many times I posted that day. :)
So, on to Sunday!
I was late. *sigh* I hustled. I made good progress. At 8am, no one had shown up for either Guest Care or UScan, so I was stuck downstairs until someone showed up. I know that it seems odd that I say I'm late, and then effectively complain about others being late. That's only one reason why I'm trying to get this "on time" thing reintegrated into me.*
Anyway, it only took 30 minutes for one of them to show up.** I got upstairs and began my work. That was as easy as the day got. I wound up having to come down a couple of times, to keep things from getting out of hand, because the morning UScan person didn't show up until 930am. I ran late getting the paperwork sent in, due primarily to all the running around. I had a TON of non-payroll-related paperwork to prepare, collate, and fax. That took me an hour in itself.
By the time I was done with everything, it was 1130am. Even if I was supposed to take a lunch, I would not have been able to, since we were BUSY. I had to cover a couple of lunches before I left. It got busier. At one point, whlie I was doing armored car, I heard them page for a manager on register 3. I finished up armored car, and then heard them page for assistance at Guest Care (which is the first lunch I was covering, except for this bit with the armed courier). I walked out, and the checker on register 3 said, "Anthony, this woman needs to speak with you."
Folks, I am not a manager. Period. I have neither the training nor authority to properly assist the customer. While I am the "backup" CSM, that's mainly because I understand how accounting works, and I'm good at fixing the problems back there. Well, the woman told me her story, and she was ANGRY. Apparently, one of the items that she got had not had the price in the system. She felt that, since she had to wait for them to get the price off the shelf, that she should get one of them (she got two) free. I told her that I wasn't a manager, and I couldn't do something like that, but I was sure that the manager was on his way down. I moved on to Guest Care, where I knew some people were waiting on me. I tried to get to the intercom to call the Co-Manager about her again, but I was also helping the customers at Guest Care. I turned around maybe 15 seconds after getting back in Guest Care, and the woman was leaving. "Fine, let her leave," I thought. She was just trouble anyway.
A short while later, the phone rang, and someone asked who the manager was. I explained about the Co-Manager working, and so on. The Co-Manager at this point was working on UScan, and told me to take a message. I offered to, and the woman on the line said, "Your customer service sucks. I want the name of the main manager. Where is your corporate office?" I offered to give her the customer comment line. She said, "No, I want the number to your district office." I tried explaining that the customer comment line was really what she wanted, but she absolutely refused. "No, I am going to call your district office. Now, what's the number?"
Figuring I had nothing to lose, I gave her the customer comment line. "Yeah, right. Like a local number is going to have an 800 number." She then hung up on me. I just want to get this off my chest, so forgive me:
( *BLEEP* )
There, I feel all better now. :) So, needless to say, the day was ass. I wound up working over nearly an hour, and no one even had the decency to ask me to. I just couldn't leave. I was genuinely afraid of a repeat of last week at the game (where I totally lost it, and had to cool off). The oddest thing happened, though. I walked outside, and I felt the weight of that place leave. It appears that my mood last week wasn't related to the work day itself, but the fact that we didn't know where the money was.
So, with a renewed happiness (with a twinge of "get the $%&! out of my way"), I picked up Alex. We managed to be the first ones there, and just talked. Steve and Jason showed up then, and we all talked about the game while waiting on Scott. True to his word, Jason brought me his Japanese GameBoy Advance. Now, I just need some games, a light, and time to go up to Comic Cellar to talk about my games to no one in particular. :)
The session was awesome. This was one of the best ones yet. Aric did all kinds of things, and acted rather heroically. I was pleased. Everyone was getting into the game. Even Scott, though he has to get a new character for next week, and I was the one who chopped his character's head off. (Long story, session log due soon.)
I came home, borrow the light and Metroid Fusion from my little brother (who is, in some ways, more into video games than Jason), and went to bed.
Today, as usual, I'm going over to Brad's early, and then I'm going to attempt to pick up Mike. Perhaps I should call Mike first? :)
* - I used to be so obsessed with being on time that I would stay home from school rather than go in late. If I ran late, I'd figure out a way to be sick. It seems odd that I would be okay with being absent, but not tardy. *shrug*
** - I am usually 3-7 minutes, with the occasional 10 minutes, late. In other words, I'm running just enough behind to be late, not LATE.

Mike and I went by Comics N Collectibles on the way back to Brad's today. (I picked him up from the U of M.) We each wound up buying a couple of Mage Knight boosters. We like the miniatures, and they're kind of neat. Well, when I got home tonight, I checked out the web site, and found a gallery. Then, I found the rules....
...I think I'm beginning to see what
rockcandy76 liked so much about HeroClix, if it's anything at all like Mage Knight (and I think it probably is). I'm going to refuse to buy any more until at least Thursday, simply because I don't wanna rush out and buy a bunch, when I'm going to lose interest before next Monday.
Still, this bears some thought. I already have a bunch. The rules are free. I can always learn with what I have, and go from there, should I (and my friends) choose.
