I had to do the End of Day this morning. As a result, I tried to get to work at 530a, so that I had plenty of time to get everything ready. My alarm went off at 430am, but my jeans were not yet dry. (I let them hang dry.) So, I turned my fan on them, and put it on high. I set my alarm for 500am, and went back to sleep. It worked. I got to work at 548am, and was ready to run the End of Day by 600am.
My day has been really dull. Nothing particularly spectacular, or even "not dull". Everything was completely routine. I did enjoy reading A Clash of Kings on lunch. I'm now in the page 800s, and the story is really starting to get better. (I know I keep saying that, but that's only because it just KEEPS getting BETTER.)
I didn't stop by Comic Cellar today. I didn't feel any real urge to do so. I think I'm tired of spending money. That's kinda weird, since that's usually how I measure my fun. (Not completely, but I do enjoy buying new books a LOT.)
I got home, and my room was mercifully termite-free. I only have a day and a half before the mass genocide of termite life in this house begins. Yippee, I cannot wait. :)
I know I promised a list of RPG books that I was going to be putting up for auction soon, but I haven't even really given it any thought. I guess I'll do that when I finish this post.
I also have to create a background for a Human Fringer/Tech Specialist from Tatooine for the Monday night game that Brad is going to be running. I'll see what I can come up with. I have to wonder if I can even come up with enough of something to enjoy it. (I had an idea for a Star Wars campaign, but, when it comes to playing, I just wanna play Kyllian Doran (my human scoundrel), or Kirin Tal (my kel dor jedi consular). I think that I may have to work at this a bit, before I come up with something I'm completely happy with.
As you can see in the music box, I have dug out my old box set of the original Star Wars trilogy film scores. Some of you may have it. It's the box that is as tall as the old CD longboxes used to be, and there were four CDs in it, and a booklet. The fourth CD was an outtakes CD. It has done something that the Star Wars prequels can't do: Help me recapture the feeling of magic that was omnipresent when I watched the trilogy as a child. I enjoy making fun of him, but the music that is referred to as Luke's Theme (the main title music), interspersed throughout the film. But, in proper moments. I dunno. *shrug* At any rate, I think I'm going to suggest everyone watch my copy of the ORIGINAL Star Wars (not the Special Edition mess) before we play.
