...wha-!? What do you mean it's Monday? Where did Sunday go!?!? *sigh* Oh well. Let's see...
On Sunday, I woke up at 4am for my shift at work. Let me tell you, I now hate getting up at 4am. My alarm began to sound, and I groggily rolled over to shut the alarm off. I hadn't eaten since dinner the night before, so I was ravenous. I had a bowl of Frosted MIni-wheats while I checked my E-mail. Since I had to shave as well, I managed to run 5 minutes late to work. I haven't been that late in over a week or two. Anyway, I got everything I'm supposed to do on Sunday morning finished by 725am. I went upstairs to do payroll. In an hour, I was done.
My manager had me check clock errors throughout the week, and the reduction in worked showed significantly on Sunday. I came back down, and started cleaning out the accounting room of all the old paperwork that we have to keep. That is, we have to keep paperwork for a year, and I was throwing away (the considerable amount of) paperwork that was over a year old.
As all things do, worked ended, and I came home. I was excited to run the game, so I called
Stephen to confirm when he was coming over. Got his answering service. Oh well. I called
Brad to find out who had called him, and learned that
Scott had dropped off my table, chairs, and lamps on Saturday. Great. I called Stephen again, and got his mailbox again. I chatted with
Alex online, who had just moved home, and had internet access again.
Alex said that he probably wasn't going to make it to the game. He said he had some more stuff to move out of his old place. I told him that I only had Brad and
Aron as confirmations, because I had not yet (after three tries at this point) gotten in touch with Steve. After I told him that if he could make it over to Brad's by 5pm, I would wait on him, he agreed to see what he could do.
It was getting pretty close to the time for me to leave, though, so I tried Stephen's number several more times. His message kept telling me that I was the THIRD person to try calling him, and that's why I was getting his "busy signal" message. (One on the phone, one on hold, and here I come calling, so I got the mailbox.) I decided to keep trying him, since obviously he was on the phone. Interestingly, I had it ring up to three times before I got the message, but I never got through. I left him a text message once, and sent one mailbox message as urgent. I never heard from him.
So, sans Stephen, Aron and I went to Brad's. When we got there, what was Brad doing? Making food for us, like he usually does. What was it? Chimichangas!!!!!!! WOOT!!!! I got to actually watch Brad cook them, and I was graced with the fortune to eat on that was still hot and steaming. Mmmmm.. I'm glad I made it. We watched the comedy channel while waiting for Alex, and laughed at a couple of REALLY funny comedians. When Alex showed up, I waited for him to finish his chimichanga, and then we began.
( Click here for details about the game and ESPECIALLY afterward )
We're going to hang out today, and toss around ideas for a game we might do on Mondays, since Brad has decided that he can't run two games a week. (Something that I agree with him on. That's a feat that's kind of scary.)
I'm now going to go back to bed, since I don't feel like being up yet, and, since I'm off, I can do what I want with today. :)
