tek2way: (Space)
Years ago, back in 1998, I first used the name "tek2way" on AOL. It was the first time I had tried to use my old handle in this strange, new world. As you can see I had to adapt it from what it originally was (Tech-2-way). I set it up on Charles' AOL account. After a while, I moved out of Charles' place, but I still used the name in AIM. No big deal, right?

Apparently, wrong.

I haven't been able to log into that account for the past day. I thought it might be because I'm using Trillian, so I installed AIM to see. AIM won't log me in either, and gives, as a reason, "suspended account." I clicked on "More Details", and learned that when an AOL account is removed, the AIM account ceases to function. Thus, apparently my friend Charles has finally heeded my advice, and cancelled his AOL account. (He kept it, even when he was using RoadRunner for an internet connection.)

Since he's cancelled it, though, I've lost my oldest active handle on the 'Net. *sigh*

From now on, folks, if you had "tek2way" as your AIM contact on me, use "Aric Seles" instead.

I was off today. I did nothing. Well, not really nothing.

I got up around 8am. I made breakfast, and then proceeded to start cleaning my room. A couple of hours later, I was still in the middle of cleaning, but stopped to do some laundry. I wiped all the surfaces down. I rearranged my books, from hardback to paperback, from RPG to fiction to astronomy. I feel it's more organized now. And it's cleaner. After a total of 6 hours or so, my room was clean to my specifications. My laundry was dry, so I put that away. I then showered, because working can really make you feel icky. It's at this point that I really settled down to rest.

I worked on my Silver Marches game some. I didn't get much further than I already was, though. I did reread through the first part of the module that I'm running, though. I feel I'm ready to run it. And, frankly, I'm eager to run it. You see, last night, I developed a new ending to this module, since I am recovering some of my enthusiasm for this campaign. If things fall flat before then, well, it's not going to be much work to make this the campaign-ender. If things don't fall flat, then look out, baby! It's gonna get hot!! :)

I created what has got to be one of the most dangerous characters I've ever laid eyes on. Granted, it's not a Storm Giant Fighter/Sorcerer, but I'm not Brad, and we're not playing an Epic game. I'll post the stats of this NPC when the group has fought him (her?). I even developed tactics for it. The tactics I have are going to be tough to beat, but not impossible. I'm so excited about this combat. I realized that this character was going to need battle music, too. The music that would work perfectly, IMHO, is Furious Angels from the Matrix Reloaded OST, but I think too many people will recognize that for it to have the desired impact. (We've never used music in our games before. I feel, though, that this is sufficiently important.

Other than that, though, I think I'm going to go to bed early, since I have to get up at 4am. I just love this early shift. (Well, I like getting off at 1pm, and I'm not going to complain about it to anyone, since that could land me a 6a-2p shift instead.)

A French person actually responded to this post, and here is his answer. Frankly, it makes more sense, and agrees with what I know of French from those years in high school.

As before, behind a CUT tag. )
There. He's basically running through the common words available in French. Which makes sense, considering he was just showing what the language was like.
