Wow.. Today was interesting. I got to work late again, and my manager was there already again, and I bought a paper again. However, that's where the similarities cease. I was productive today. I finished everything that needs to be done by 8a, by 8a. I managed this, even though I still read the funny pages. I got everything put out and ready by 8a, also, not just the stuff in the back.
Then, as my manager asked me yesterday, I filled the Big K (soft drink) vending machine in front of the store. By this time, it was 9am, and I went to lunch. I spent my lunch filling out rebate forms for the rebates that Best Buy prints. I also mailed my payment for the Demonic Tutor I won online. I've got to slow down with my Magic purchases.
After lunch, I had one point that I almost lost my temper and cool. Ironically enough, I started to say my usual (of late) line: "You can't win for losing." I stopped myself mid-sentence, and reminded myself that it's "all about the game, and how you play it*". That perked me right back up, and I finished work in a good mood. Lisa, the pharmacy tech, claimed it was because I am off on Saturday. For some reason, I don't think so. But, she could be right. Who knows? I just feel good, and that's enough for me.
Of course, my good mood didn't last. I hung out with a friend of mine today. I learned that a "jerk" from her past was back. Of course, she's seeing him. WTF? Why do they always seem to do this? The worse a guy treats a girl, the more clingy they are to him. Bah! This is just crap, and I'm terribly unhappy about it. No, I am 99.99% positive it's not jealousy. We're friends, have been for better than 10 years, and that's that. This guy was bad news before, and I don't see how that could change now. She's always been defensive of me; this time, I'm feeling that way about her.
I came home, and found that my Maze of Ith and Zuran Orb are in. Yay! I have "good" cards again. I have more to get, though. That's for later, however.
Finally, I found a TON (300+) of old Unglued cards. Well, guess what? Yep. :) I've sorted through them, and I think I'm going to build a "multi-player" deck that uses some of them. At any rate, I'm going to mess with my cards for a while.
