Wow. I'm gonna post today. Really! Without further ado..
Friday, I had a crappy day to end my crappy week.I can't remember details since moronic me didn't update my LJ when I got home, but I remember it as vaguely more of the same, and then some. I didn't get a lunch or break. I worked from 510a until 120p without let up. I even was concentrated on finishing when I was in the back. I saw that I had to work Guest Care until 12p. Okay, I thought, I can just go to lunch then. Until then, I can read and prepare my game for Sunday.
*rolls eyes* Yeah, right. Not only did I have to run the office all morning, when I wasn't doing a Western Union or printing out a money order, I was bagging, checking, or fixing something that broke. By the time that noon came around, I was dead beat. Guess what? Glen, my relief, was LATE AGAIN. This time, it was 20-25 minutes. Sheesh, I get worried about 10 minutes, and this guy can do 40 minutes without getting in trouble. That, my friends, is BS. But I digress..
He let me out, and at that moment, the manager called me upstairs to "work on the schedule". Apparently, he needed some things fixed on the schedule as my CSM had done it. I made the changes, worked things out, and it was time to leave by the time I was done.
( Cut because I'm shopping )( Friday night's game )We went home, and I checked eBay for cards. I saw an auction for TWO Revised Copy Artifacts, with no bids, with 5 minutes left. I bid, no one else did, and I got them both for $1. This led to what I did on Saturday...
( More hidden here because it's all geeky )( Regarding Sunday.. )Last night, though, I had an interesting dream. It's, as usual, a little fuzzy, but I remember this much. I was trying to get a house in Millington. The house was haunted. There was a cliff behind the house, down which had fallen a car. It was Andy's (Gibson - old friend) car, and he nearly cried about it. It sank into a lake at the end of a road that ran beside the cliff. There was a person who I was trying to move into the house with. This is where it got surreal. It was Emily. I know that for sure. I have never remembered her face like I did in my dreams last night. It was like she was there. The house fought us, and we escaped. I remember something sci-fi-esque after this but only briefly, I was awakened by the phone ringing.
This is, without a doubt, one of the most vivid dreams I've had in a while. I usually don't remember enough of them to write down. I remember I was in a melancholy state for most of the night. Not depressed, but somewhere between happiness and sadness.
Anyway, today is the day I go to my Aunt's house to help her with computers. She's never really used them, and, as a result, is considerably computer illiterate. (Nothing bad, really.. just the usual "Where's the Any key?" kinds of things.) I love her, though, so I am going to see if I can make any progress. :)
