Yesterday, we (C,
strieson, and I) finally got the last boxes put away or thrown away, and everything put where it's more or less permanently going to be. The place is finally looking like a house, rather than a storage facility. :)
I need to remember to pick up some picture wire today at work, so that I can hang the second of two mirrors I have. My room is decorated -- while not quite the opposite of my room at the apartment -- very "normal" comparatively speaking. The only way you could tell I was into Dungeons & Dragons, for example, are the Colossal Red Dragon on my desk (a rather spiffy looking statue anyway) and the few D&D books in a 3' bookcase. I will put up my poster of the celestial sphere, but I need to get a frame for it first. Gone are the days of the comic book posters, geek movie posters, random fantasy art posters, and Sandman action figures (no matter how much I idolize Neil Gaiman, I cannot justify putting those on my wall anymore). The room has a "neater" feel for lack of all the "stuff".
That's not to say it's boring. :) I have both a lava lamp and a plasma ball. Okay, maybe it is boring-looking, but I rather like it. Pictures forthcoming when I get the last of my decorations hung.
