Merry Christmas to all, no matter your choice of religion. Mine is a well-wishing of the spirit of the season, rather than a strict endorsement of a particular faith.
I work today from 1130am until we close at 700pm, though if years past is any indication, I'll be there till 730pm at least. People do the dumbest things around the holidays, like waiting until 650pm to try to buy an entire Christmas dinner to prepare from scratch. The only thing more insulting was the year a woman told me on Christmas Eve, "you should be open on Christmas Day!" as if we were trying to stymie her attempts to go out shopping, rather than wanting the holiday off from work. Ebenezer would be hollering, "See!? I was right all along!!"
I am off tomorrow, with no plans, save waking up, eating, reading the rest of Fool's Errand by Robin Hobb, and maybe seeing what's going on in WoW briefly (I've not had much enthusiasm for it of late). I work from 530am to 130pm on Wednesday, and the Zone Manager is "supposedly" coming by to discuss where we're going to go when the store closes, though I find it ominous that they've assigned places for 3-5 people already, without any concern for distance traveled or their own verbal promise that they'd work with us to get us into the places we'd like to be.
Everyone take care, okay?
Oh! Thank you Mandy and Priss for the lovely egifts to my LJ account. It positively warmed my heart, though I've clearly been lazy about thanking you. :)
