I've been rereading the Harry Potter books since I finished book 7 back in July. (Oh, I took a week off when I left my copy of Sorcerer's Stone at work when I went on vacation, and I've read The Golden Compas in that time, too, but I digress..) In the last 2 weeks, my Harry Potter reading has accelerated. With my official lazy Monday behind me, I have knocked out approaching half of Order of the Phoenix.
What strikes me as odd, however, is that I find myself wanting to watch the movies again as well. This includes Goblet of Fire, which I was so unimpressed with, I only saw it once. I also am a lot more interested in seeing the movie adaptation of Order of the Phoenix. too. I might just go see it alone if I have to. Somehow, I'd forgotten what a page-turner and nail-biter Book 5 is. There are things I hope I get to see in the movie version (I'm primarily thinking about the Weasley twins' departure from Hogwarts, which was truly inspired), but at the least, I realized that don't want this movie to be the only one that I never saw at all in theatres.
EDIT: How depressingly ironic. I just checked Malco's site, and HP5 isn't in any of the theatres, nor is it in the second run Bartlett location. :( Pity, since Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End is still playing at Bartlett, and we all know how horrible THAT movie was. I guess the DVD is due out soon?
