I am off for two days, beginning today. I took the opportunity to finish the first season of Heroes.
HO-LEE SH-, er, SMOKE! :)
That was fantastic. Powerful stuff. And fun in the way only a comic book could be. The finale definitely sets up a season two just as gripping as season one, and even gives us the chance to get a hint of the next BBEG for next season.
George Takei as Hiro's father was absolutely AWESOME. Sulu is a badass, no matter his age. I also liked that Richard Roundtree played Simone's father (which I didn't notice at first).
Aside from that, I tried Neverwinter Nights (NWN) out again, on the recommendation of a couple of friends from my WoW guild (they were playing with it to do some online RP years before they began playing WoW). Suffice to say, I'm having a LOT more fun this time than I was when I first picked it up. Of course, my allegiance to the ruleset isn't absolute now, whereas I was upset that things weren't "perfectly" translated last time.
Anyway, our carpets are wet, because the complex shampooed them as a "gift" for renewing our lease, so I'm going to go curl up with Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban. When things have dried out some, I'm gonna probably play a little more NWN, and/or watch some of the DVD extras for Heroes. :)
