So,
strieson and I went to the rental office today, to confront them about the way things were handled, and what the hell they were doing. Well, to make a long story short, there was a communication fuckup that caused us to not get a call about the deposit, and the proptery manager toured the place again after getting complaints about the job that the carpet-layers were supposed to have done, and deicded that it needed replacing.
strieson and I were both satisfied about it, and the tension in the room noticably lowered.
So, we signed our lease, after touring the place (and giving it the third degree!), and we have our keys. Tomorrow, I get to call MLG&W, Time Warner, and Bellsouth to get services hooked up. Then, I get to tote the rent for the rest of August and September up there. THEN, I get to begin moving in things, starting with the cleaning supplies my mom has kindly put aside for us. (It needs a LITTLE cleaning. Folks don't clean a place as well when they're not going to be the ones living there, and I'm picky just a bit.)
Perhaps, I'll grab my digital camera, and give you guys pictures. Would ya like that? :)

Later,
strieson and I met
mfsfreak and my buddy Kevin downtown. We had passes to see "Beerfest". While waiting in line, we ran into my old buddy,
kheadrin. It was good to talk to him again. I wish we could work out something to game with him, but schedules suck ass. :-p
The movie... well, let me just say that while *I* enjoyed the movie, I wasn't expecting much, I'm a guy, and I like toilet humor. :) Don't take kids. Period. I left there, wishing I could go hit the draft at a local Hooters. :) I *still* want a beer.
After the movie, the four of us (
strieson,
mfsfreak, Kevin, and I) went to Applebee's to get some dinner. While there, we discussed the very real possibility of doing a short mini-campaign using either 1st or 2nd edition D&D, instead of 3.0 or 3.5. I even suggested getting the 1st edition PHB, DMG, MM, MM2, UA, DSG, and WSG, and running modules DL1-DL5. Yes, Dan, the first five Dragonlance modules, from back in 1984. :)
Anyway, I have a more than full enough day ahead of me, so I better get to bed. Talk to you guys later.
