Yes, my fine friends, strange things can happen. :)

Yesterday was as smooth as I thought it would be. Sadly, I have to say that the co-manager was right: they needed someone to enforce the law. I walked out of there both nights, feeling like I had really accomplished something. Carts were off the lot, garbage had been done, floors were swept, breaks were handled responsibly, and everything ran like clockwork. Oh, there are going to be some people who won't like me, but you know what? For some reason, I couldn't care less. I'm asking no more of them than is in their job description anyway.

I mean, "breaks are ONLY 15 minutes for a four hour shift." Easy one, right? About half of them at night take at least 20 minutes, and one girl would have taken 30 minutes, if someone had no alerted her that I was looking for her. (I'd gone to pull her time. Sadly, the co-manager just told ME to write the girl up, even though A)I'm way too busy keeping the front end afloat, since we're on the edge of backing up, and B)I'm the union shop steward, so I really *SHOULDN'T* be the one doing the write-up. Oh well.)

I came home, and looked forward to a wonderfully difficult task: I have to create a character for Rick to play tomorrow while he's in town. Yes, Rick will be back for a week, and will be playing D&D with us while he's here. I'm trying to outdo myself, since he's loved the last two characters I've made for him. Eh, I'll figure something out. :)

Finally, I'm happy to report that they only scheduled me long enough on Sunday to do payroll. I get to leave at 11am, instead of working until 1pm. How awesome is that?

Until later, faithful readers...
