The game yesterday was a lot of fun. I have come to realize that part of why we have such fun in my games, is that I have a very relaxed method of running the game. If I think of something funny, I'll crack a joke. I don't get mad if others do so either, so long as we get back on track. If necessary, I'll get things going again by just beginning again. You'd be amazed how quickly people will pay attention when you begin a combat without worrying about them. :)
So, the game went well, with them finishing the adventure in true Gauntlet-like style. (No rest stops, just much healing using a wand of cure light wounds, plus what little the bard and monk could heal.) They barely made it, but made it they did. Their patron for that run paid them a 20% bonus for finishing the run IN ONE DAY. (I had no clue they'd pull THAT feat off.) With their other salvage hauls, they raked in 2300 gold for the day. No matter, though. House Cannith will soon have a job for them, which will take them from Sharn to Darguun to the Mournland and back. And that's assuming they don't get involved with a cult below Sharn. (As in, "breaking it up.")
Soon, though, they will find themselves on Xen'drik. It will be fun. I just hope someone from the original group is still there. (Brad and Alex are the only two, and Alex is talking like he's getting tired of playing that character.)
I got home, though, and found out that the morning accounting person isn't going to be there this week. As a result, I do not get to work for the Zone Manager tomorrow. (I bet he's going to be pissed off about that.) I will have one day to do everything I normally take two days to do. I bet I won't finish it, so I will just use Thursday to do so, because it HAS to be finished. *sigh*
For today, I've done nothing important. I went through my "to sell" book box, and realized that I might as well just put them in the attic, since I have been planning to sell them for over a year now. With that thought, I decided to dig out some of my other D&D books that I was sure that I'd "never need again." With that done, I wasted time this afternoon. I also wound up watching Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow again. (Yes, folks, *I* like it, even if no one else I know does.)
So, that pretty much sums up my day. I talked more than I meant.I'm shutting up now.
* - Anyone notice how I only use iTunes now? That's because it's just better than Winamp. I can load everything I own into iTunes, and sort and such to my heart's desire, without loading a new list of songs. Though I still use Winamp from time to time. :)
