Work sucked today. I mean, sucked. We never had enough help, I couldn't catch up, everything was in complete chaos, and I didn't get a lunch. I got to leave at 2pm, though, so here I am, relaxing, feeling better. Of course, this is dampened somewhat by the fact that I have to be at work tomorrow morning at 3am, but I chose that, so I could train for the zone reports one more time. As important as they are, the last thing I want to do is fumble the ball, so to speak. At least I'm off on Monday, you know?

Speaking of fumbling... The NFL draft is today, and I don't even get to see who Tennessee's first round pick is, simply because they haven't gotten their chance yet. Sheesh, this thing takes a while, doesn't it? I wonder how the Giants will do this season, since it seems they got Eli Manning from San Diego (who got him as the #1 overall pick). Oh well, should be interesting to see how things turn out. For now, I'm going to make dinner, and get ready for bed. I need sleep in a bad way.

EDIT: I almost forgot something I consider noteworthy, even if only to me. I was working in Guest Care, and busting my butt trying to keep up (the next PowerBall drawing is tonight, so don't you know everyone's got to get their "One Ticket" that will win it for them?). A pretty woman (can't call her a girl, since she was a year older than I, but it seems weird in a way) came up to buy cigarettes.

I got her ID (gotta card 'em don't you know?). I noticed that she was just a little older than I was. I looked up to hand her ID back to her, and realized that she was very pretty. I asked for her Kroger Plus Card, and she didn't have it, so I offered her a blank one to fill out. She thanked me, filled it out, got her discount, and paid for her cigarettes. The whole time, we were exchanging pleasantries, and I got that warm fuzzy feeling. She was extraordinarily nice and pleasant. I love getting that warm fuzzy feeling.

Then, when she left, she stopped halfway to the door, turned, and said, "I hope your day goes better for you." True, she was being nice, and had seen how bad it was for me, but she did stop and turn around to say it, and while it doesn't have to mean anything, I'd like to think that it does. (And if it doesn't, she still was thoughtful enough to take time out of her day to say it anyway, and that's what REALLY matters.) *beam* It definitely picked me up for the next two or three hours. I wonder if I'll ever see her again. As I'm fond of saying...

Only time will tell...
