I really should have gotten to bed earlier than I did. As things stand, I didn't go to bed last night until 1230am. See, the guy turned down Charles' offer again, so Charles and Melissa set up some house visits after work. Charles invited me, and we checked them out. Of course, I didn't leave their place until 1030pm. I just have too much fun with them. *shrug* I'll do a better update about yesterday when I get home from work today.

Now, I have to work, and I am really tired. I was so tired this morning, that I almost laid back down, because I nearly convinced myself that I was sleeping, and that the alarm didn't really go off. I took a shower right away, which works better than coffee at waking me up. (At least in the "getting me awake enough to not fall back asleep" catagory.) I haven't even had breakfast, but that's mainly because I am still feeling last night's Backyard Burgers run. Who knew it'd stick with me this long? I'll get something simple when I get to work.

Speaking of which.... *runs out the door*

Well, I didn't get enough sleep last night, my brakes started acting up yesterday, and I've been letting my depressive states affect my judgment regarding my friendship with Charles and Melissa. (Specifically, I started being really negative and down on myself. "I'm getting too grabby. They don't like me as much as I like them.")

That, though, was all before 200pm today. I mean, I came in to work, did my job, and kept from getting too upset. (It was weird. I was aware of what was happening, and took steps to deal with it, instead of succumbing to it.) I had lunch, covered the breaks, and realized that it was nearly 200pm.

That's when my Co-Manager asked me if I would assemble a glider rocking chair and ottoman. I said sure, since it kept me busy, was something I don't usually do, and I enjoy putting things together. While I was workin on it, though, the Co-Manager came over, and said that...

....get this...

...the Zone Manager wanted to know if I would be interested in doing the zone reports on Sunday mornings. Let me put it this way. You know how I do Time & Attendance on Sunday mornings? You know how I have to put together the figures on a spreadsheet and mail it in to someone by 1000am? I've been asked to do the job that's on the other end of the E-mail. :) I am to take the Sales & Cash reports for about 15-17 stores in the metro Memphis area, and do the paperwork necessary to get the reports that go EVEN HIGHER ready.

Now, everyone I've told has said, "Does this get you more money?" Nope. Not a bit. That's okay though, you see, for it means that I'll be tied up doing paperwork upstairs almost the entire time I'm there on Sundays, so I almost certainly won't have to worry about the Front End. (One day of not worrying about that place is just too great.) Also, and far more importantly, it's serious accounting paperwork that I can put on my resume. I've already decided that I *AM* going to get an Accounting Degree, since it plays to a strength that I've been building experience in for the last ten years anyway. This is just icing on the cake.

I came home from work, feeling awesome. I walk in the door to hear the phone ringing. Sure enough, it was Scott. We talked, and I got an E-mail. My Discover card bill is in. For the first time in too long, my balance, after finance charges, is under the credit limit. That means that I'm getting things back on track, like I had hoped I was. This is phenomenal news.

Now, I'm going to Charles' place, because he's asked me to go with them today to look at houses again. I mean, it's neat to look at all of these houses anyway, I get to hang out with Charles, and they obviously want me around. So, I'm going to go, and have fun.

Later days, my peeps...
