So, I've been up since around 1030am or so. I forget exactly when I woke. Regardless, I've spent my time today creating a spreadsheet for use in Shadowrun that will let you select your priorities, and then autofill in what information it can. If you type your attributes in, there's a field that keeps track of how many points you have left, and it computes your various dice pools for you. I've had to learn about ActiveX Combo Boxes in Excel to get the priority system to work, but I like what I've done so far.
Yesterday, we met at Brad's to creature characters for a Shadowrun game that he's doing. I didn't get there until after 3pm, mainly because I was held at work until 2pm. We were missing some folks. Sheesh.
Anyway, Jason's gonna be a combat decker, and Scott is going to play a street samurai. I am going to do an adept. I think it'll be fun, personally, but I want to make sure I selected the optimum choices for my character.* That's why I'm building this in the first place. That way, I can always go back and do another one anytime I want. The neatest thing about this is it lets me, at a glance, see what the different races would be capable of based on how I assign stats. (Example: If I give my Human a 6 STR, I can quickly see how every other race would come out in the STR department.)
Now, though, I am going to stop. I am going to go to Kroger, and - on my off day - clean our accounting room out as much as possible, so that I don't have to listen to my manager make any more complaints about it. That, and I would like a clean working environment, too.
Thanks to all who responded to me over the weekend. You guys rock. I'll reply to your comments when I get back from Kroger.
