..Or something. I sense my journal is going to be slowing back down AGAIN.

Today was at least moderately interesting, since I had to get up for work at 230am. About halfway through my preparations, I thought that I could have gotten up at 3am and done the same. That line of logic was dashed, though, when I saw my dad get up at 320am. It was dashed even further when I didn't finish making my lunch and breakfast until 330am. On a bright note, though, I didn't burn my eggs this morning! :)

I got to work 15 minutes early, because I dropped my dad off, and went straight on into work from there. Who knew that my dad's workplace was as far from my store as our house is? I clocked on in, because I had to get the End-of-Day processed, so that the inventory that was scheduled for today would go down without a hitch.

I managed it, though counting the lottery tickets and balancing the lines was a little daunting for the first time. I persevered, though, and all was good. Speaking of the lottery tickets, they sold like crazy today. I was called TWICE after getting home to help them activate more tickets. Sheesh. I'll be glad when Tennesseeans are "ho-hum" about the lottery, and only buy occasionally. (But enough for Tennessee to maintain interest in keeping the lottery, mind you.)

I've relaxed after getting home, though I browsed "www.skinz.org" for a new background. I found a nice one in the abstract section with a moonrise over the ocean, but it's all in blacks and shades of dark grey. A word of warning: Do NOT go there without a popup blocker and some way of stopping spyware installations (the XP version of IE6 seems to have a cookie/pop-up blocker built in, and it is awesome for it.). The site is crawling with cookies and there were at least TWO applications that tried to install themselves. You have been warned. (Cool site, regardless of their ethics.)

I'm going to sit here, wondering what I should do next, until I realize I should be in bed.* Then, I'm going to crash, and get up at 330am for my routine shift tomorrow. After work tomorrow, I need to pay my car insurance, replace the emergency brake handle's button, and take my folks grocery shopping. (Can you believe that my dad hasn't gotten it fixed yet, or that he's leaving [livejournal.com profile] makeshift_guru to fend for himself? Sheesh.)

*EDIT: I am just being honest. I could have said, "Oh, I'll read a book," or, "I'll go look at the stars." Nope. I knew what I would be doing. *sigh*
