Yes, my loyal fans. I am gracing you with another update, courtesy of a Sense of Guilt For Not Updating, as well as Too Early To Go To Bed Just Yet. What was the last thing I talked about? I'm pretty sure it was Friday or Saturday. Let's see... *checks last entry*
Oh yes, I posted about the debacle involving my "Tits" (nods to
lilithraevyn for her excellent joke*). They were robbed, I tell you, but enough of that. We losers are just going to sniff, suck it up, and talk about "next year". *Rolls eyes*
So, on to...
Sunday
...where I had a hell of a day. No really. Let's see. I got to work, did the End of Week, and had a delightful surprise, as well as something that wasn't as good. First, the good news: For Saturday, we checked up EVEN. Perfect. Zero. Balanced perfectly. I've *NEVER*, in nearly ten years of working for Kroger, *EVER* had a day where we weren't off at least a few cents, either black or red. However, that's how it came out on Sunday.
Of course, you're thinking, "So what's the bad part? We don't care about the good stuff. We're just here to laugh at you." Well, we were still nearly $200 short for the week. Thus, being even wasn't that helpful after all, since we needed to be over. I finished that, and went upstairs to do payroll. That's when the fit hit the shan.
( More stuff about work. Move along. )
I headed to Brad's, picking up Alex and dropped Aron off (at Alex's so he could hang with Charlotte). We played more of the Valdar campaign, and I played more of Ashe. For some reason, the group grew closer together, and worked as a team. It was pretty scary, but good. Ashe's strength was restored from his fight with three areanas. That's three CR 4s [EL 7] versus a level 6 fighter/ranger [1/4 of what's necessary to handle a CR6 as a "normal" encounter]. Yeah, I'm a badass. :) Anyway, He was healed, and Ashe was a force to be reckoned with. At least, once he quit missing. :)
( More tales from Sunday night's RPG session. )
I came home, and had plans to fix up my car on...
Monday
...but after taking my dad to work, I could barely keep my eyes open, and slept restlessly until around noon. I got up, and decided I'd handle the maintenance later this week, but would clean my room instead. I sat down, and didn't move until bed time. I did install an ID3 editor, and begin the tedious process of cleaning up the ID3 tags on over 2400 mp3s. I got all of the rock and metal and light stuff done, but the classical will have to wait. (I want the composer's name in the main field, not the guy who put the album together.)
Also, last night, I learned something neat. I'm outing
andric as a Nightwish fan. She asked me if I had Oceanborn.*** I was stunned. I wound up sending her much more. And I need to head over there sometime soon with the concert DVD in hand to regal her with that. Perhaps we can do that after seeing Return of the King on Friday.
Finally, I woke up on...
Tuesday
...and felt a little better, but still tired. Work went by relatively easily, and I came home feeling good. My dad has a vehicle pinned down, and will get it this weekend. I also am getting him to find a ride for Saturday, so I can get some sleep. If I have to, I'm going to give the man $30, and tell him to call a cab. No, really, I am. I need some sleep. I haven't slept uninterrupted for more than 6 hours - or uninterrupted later than 330am - since the beginning of the year, and I'm beginning to feel it deep in my bones.
I came home, and prepared some Boca Spicy Chik'n Patties to eat. Sorry,
rawee1, but I didn't like these. I was surprised, since I enjoyed the other meatless items you've recommended. Oh well, I have my Boca Sausages. :) And I still have to try the Morningstar Corn Dogs. Tonight's dinner was a Healthy Choice Rigatoni with Broccoli and Chicken and garlic toast with milk, and cinnamon-sprinkled apple sauce for dessert. Yum. :)
I'm good and tired now, so the disclaimer of "Too Early To Go To Bed Just Yet" no longer applies. It's amazing how much time I can waste on one of these posts. :)
And yes, that is Kate Beckinsale, giving the old "Double Deuce" from a scene in a behind-the-scenes extra on the Underworld DVD. :)
* - Which, sadly, she's deleted. Basically, it went, "If the Jaguars are called the 'Jags', and the Buccaneers are called the 'Bucs', what do you call the Tennessee Titans?" I know what it should SOUND like. Not the point, people. :)
** - *snickers* You do understand, of course, that my archer killed two orcs in the first round, right? :) I love fighting things that are easy to kill. It's a shame that Cleave is only for melee.
