Another day, another.. oh, to hell with it..

I slept like a rock last night. I woke up feeling moderately refreshed, even if I didn't want to get up. I had the strangest dream. Bits and pieces of it go like this:

• I was walking home, via Mountain Terrace, and saw some stuff in a yard that wasn't properly arranged. I jumped the fence, ignored the dog, and fixed it, even though I was sure this was the house of a gang-banger who'd shoot me instead of asking questions. When I finished, I jumped the fence again, and continued walking home.


• Mount Doom was in my backyard.(!) Frodo and Sam were sleeping on my patio, but headed away from it. (Though, they still were trying to destroy the ring. Go figure.) The lava started running onto the patio, and Frodo decided, in a rather feminine fashion, that he was "going inside. I cannot sleep with all this lava around." LOL!  


• rockcandy76 and I were scouting a way ahead for Frodo, and had to take a boat. Then, we found a side channel, (that was just like being in a video game). However, Ben had to manipulate a wheel by running atop it to get the door to the shop that sold boats for that side of the side channel open. (I only know it was Ben because his LJ name was hanging above his head, like names do in EverQuest and such.)


• Mount Doom threw out a flaming rock that hit a flying school bus, and became a towering pumpkin monster that attacked the house, because Frodo was inside. Strangely, it shrunk back down to get inside, and I chopped it up. Alas, that's when I woke up.

I work 6-3 today. At least, I think so. No one is scheduled to go in at 6am, but I was before the schedule was posted. See, the Customer Service Manager and I are going to a training seminar for the lottery machine that was put in last week. We begin selling tickets in February, I think. At any rate, I'll go in at 6am, and get things ready like always, unless someone shows up to tell me that I wasn't supposed to be there. In which case, I'll read a book until it's time.

P.S. I captured a BUNCH of Kate Beckinsale images from the Underworld DVD last night. I believe that I'm going to be making more icons in the days to come. :)

I'm beat..

I should be in bed by now, but I had to run down my day real briefly before I crashed.

I got to work, and learned that we're going to start doing the close in the morning again. This meant that I had a close to do, but I managed okay. The real stumbling block of the morning was that the sales book hadn't been done since Saturday. I spent longer working on it than I should have, and I still didn't get Friday done.

At 830a, I left with my manager and CSM to go to a seminar on how to operate the new Lottery terminals we've gotten. We go live on 20 January, so it'll be an experience. I think it's easy, but what do I know? :)

After the seminar, our manager took us to Bob Evans, a "Cracker Barrel-like" restarurant. It was good, as always. Their green beans were awesome. I haven't had any that good in a while. After lunch, though, I had to come back to the store.

Big mistake. I had to finish the schedule, but I didn't know where to cut it down, and so I wound up using a considerable amount of my remaining time trying to fix the schedule. I only barely managed it, and I'm not happy with the results. I went down to do my count, and almost lost it. We were two thousand short, and I didn't know where. I spent 30 minutes looking, and it was only when I was about to call the co-manager that I realized that UScan didn't get loaned. I'm blaming the need for me to rush out of there this morning.

I came home, rested for a bit, and took my folks shopping. We hit Wal-Mart, as always, and I snagged some stuff I needed. I got more blank CDs, in addition to food. Yes, rawee1, I picked up the Chik'n patties AND the Corn Dogs. :)

After three hours, we came home. I worried about getting everything in my car, since it is just a Saturn, but my parents had bought two and a half baskets of groceries. Getting home, I made dinner, and got ready to go to bed, but not before doing a couple more icons. Now, I'm delirious from exhaustinon, but I'm going to crash now. :)
