Yep. I'm ready to go, and I have six minutes before I need to start looking at the door. :)
Yesterday's game was awesome. While we were still in the village, a band of ogres showed up. We thought there was going to be a fight, but apparently the ogres were celebrities, and regularly travel around. They show up, fight people for money, and then move on. Well, we learned that they had been ripped off (they had a very valuable chunk of rae, and got only 1/50 of its value. They asked us to keep a look out, and went on their way. Hmm.. I've never had an encounter with ogres that didn't end in a fight before. Granted, two of us fought him, but that was because he was looking for someone to fight. I loved that. :)
We journeyed to Poor, the richest city in Valdar. (No, I don't get it either, but I didn't name it.) We had to get the real contract between the elf lands and Valdar, to see if the toll booth the elves put up was legal. On the way, we had to fight a pair of Otyughs. Fortunately, my magic kept one of them immobilized, and I whittled it down.
Upon arriving at Poor, we found an inn called "The Worg of Doom" *thunder rumbles* (I did that all last night, because it seemed right for an inn with that name to have something dramatic behind in.) This inn was similar to a Hooters. The waitresses wore rather tight clothes, and they served hot wings. I ordered a 50 piece, fries, and two pitchers of mead. My character has been looking for a chance to relax a bit.
Oh, that reminds me. Alex's character, Jimmy, came from the modern day. He brought "Lord of the Rings" with him. My character has been reading it, critiquing it on accuracy and such. And Steve, our LotR-loving DM, has loved it. :)
Anyway, we saw a fight between an Aesthir and a Daemon, but apparently they were faking it, because they are poker-buddies. (Well, not really poker, but the concept is the same. It's some game that Steve came up with.)
I work 6-3 today. When I get home, I am going to respond to everyone's comments. No, really.
